Easy Steps to an Organic LawnFirst Step:Call us!Call for an on-site Consultation and Comprehensive Soil Chemistry/structure Analysis. One of our Evergreens organic expert consultants will meet with you to discuss your lawn and how our program will work for you. A soil sample will be collected at this initial visit. We make informed DecisionsThis program begins with a comprehensive soil chemistry analysis. This provides us with the blueprint of your soil. Our proactive approach helps us understand exactly what your soil needs, so nothing is applied unnecessarily. Every soil is different. It is even possible to have different soils on the same property.. |

Second Step: Sign Up for the Evergreen Organic Lawn ProgramEvery lawn requires a certain amount of nitrogen for proper growth and development. Healthy soils nourish the lawn with the necessary mineral and nutrients it requires. Lawns that have been treated with synthetic fertilizers and chemicals are often stripped of beneficial micro-organisms that nourish the turf plants. The Evergreen Organic Lawn Program will revitalize and balance your soil for the needs of your grass plants - not pesky weeds, insects and diseases - eliminating the need for the use of toxic chemicals. We do this by adjusting the all important PH level and promoting the organisms that live in the soil. Each visit includes natural soil and foliar feeding with our own freshly brewed compost tea - a living, liquid biological amendment, and our organic soil conditioners and root builders. In the spring and/or fall we will also apply our organic pre-emergent crab grass control.Third Step: Receive Your Customized Organic Solutions ProgramThe foundation for a healthy, natural lawn begins with the soil. With the results of your soil chemistry analysis, we customize our Evergreen Organic Lawn Program to meet the unique needs of your lawn. Although the requirements for proper turf grass growth and development is fairly consistent, every soil is different, therefore each lawn must be addressed on an individual basis.Your soil analysis will be used in determining whether your soil will need the PH adjusted, additional organic matter, or any other nutrients to cure deficiencies. You will receive a copy of your soil analysis with our customized recommendations. Fourth Step: Over-Seeding & Aeration: giving your lawn a “makeover”Inject youth into your lawn by adding a little fresh seed every year. Over-seeding is a regular part of an aggressive, natural, organic program. As with all living things, grass plants grow old with time, become weak, and often don't perform well. For tired lawns we offer a full line of seeding and renovation services to introduce new grass varieties that are more vigorous, insect and disease resistant, and well suited for your landscape environment.Introducing new grass varieties can also speed up the transition from a chemically treated lawn to organic maintenance, leaving you with a lush green lawn, not dependent on chemical fertilizers. Care is taken NEVER to use genetically engineered plants. For soils with excessive compaction, or in high traffic areas, core aeration may be necessary to introduce more air, water, and nutrients to the subsurface. |
